Gathering parts
I am needing to get my brakes re-done before NG.
So far I have:
Super Car Engineering W.I.D.E. rotors
Carbotech Panther XP-8 (front pads)
D460 Titanium Brake Shims for the front pads (ordered)
3SX Stainless-Steel Braided Brake Lines
Carbotech Panther Plus (AX6) (rear pads) (ordered)
Brake Caliper Stiffening Bolts (ordered)
complete set of 2nd gen calipers to rebuild.
4: Centric parts front Caliper Kit #143.46010
About the calipers I want to completely rebuild them pistons, seals the whole nine yards.
If I am understanding correctly there are a total of 12 piston calipers in the calipers
4 front upper pistons
4 front lower pistons
4 rear pistons.
Also with the caliper stiffening bolts I do not need the caliper housing bolts or the lock spring.
I need to know what I am needing to finish my goal?
I know I need:
rear rotors clueless on brand, thinking Napa "top shelf" blanks
Brake fluid, (but how much considering I will be changing the old calipers out.
2: Centric parts front Caliper Kit #143.46010
So what have I over looked? Are there E-brake pads?

Your e-brake pads are most likely fine, i have 4x the mileage and am sure mine are oem.
There is a special grease for the piston seals, get a small tube of it at an auto parts store.
A liter (can I get a liter of cola) of fluid will flush your whole system with plenty to spare, most brake fluids come in 500ml bottles, plan for 2.
You use the stock spring retainer with the SCE bolts, the factory pin clip thingy goes away.
Clean off the threads of the factory hard brake lines. A wire brush should do. I suggest buying a metric line wrench kit, I think you will need either an 8 or 10mm.
Umm, download the instructions for bedding the xp brakes from the faq area at WWW.ctbrakes.com
Try to follow that as best you can.

You don't need new pistons/cylinders

the ones in the calipers I got are awfully rusty looking. At least the part that is exposed to the elements.
I will need to get them out and inspect the important part I guess.
I just wanted nice to look at parts as I assemble them, but you right, if they function properly why waste the money

Just finished redoing my brakes. 2 bottles of Motul 600 will do it. E-brake system has two shoes on each side. It's pretty unlikely that these are worn out unless you use the E-brake while driving. Need a 10mm line wrench and a 17mm open end to hold the nut when replacing the brake lines. Pump out the fluid first before removing pads.
Best way to remove calipers is to crack open the brake line at the caliper but don't remove it. Go to the connection between the flex line and the hard line and break it open there. You can spin the 10mm nut on the hard line until it disconnects. Then remove the caliper with the flex line still attached and finally disconnect the flex line. Check my sig for my caliper painting and rebuild thread.

I don't think Napa could even get me the 2g rear rotors, even though the site lists them, maybe they had a kit with crap pads, advanced can get them for something like 80 each. I went with S&G ones for 32/each.
The rebuild seal kits alone are pretty pricey, oem ones are the only ones that fit properly. $35 a side for the fronts and come with grease, oem shim kits also come with grease. The pistons are $22 each, crazy expensive, I made mine look like new with some rotary gasket remover pads (3M). Don't forget powdercoating :)

So the centric rebuild kits are no good?
-
I have used them on my last caliper rebuild just fine.

And the last 2g rear rotors I bought were from Napa, less than 6 months ago.

Matt I will be powder coating, hopefully color matched to my car, not pearl obviously, but a real close yellow just the same.
