so i am putting my motor back together and i seem to have an issue. besides grinding the rear transmission bracket to clear the precat eliminator, can some one give me an idea of how to fix this or maybe what i did wrong. are the brackets out of order maybe? :Doh: i will try anything at this point.

just incase the pictures dont show what the issue is..... my the bottom flange on my rear precat eliminator hits the rear transmission stay bracket before the top flange of the precat eliminator even gets flush with the turbo.
2 things:
First you gotta attach the oil return line. That's gonna be a bitch to get right with the turbo already bolted in.
Next is your bracket. The precats are different between a 1G and 2G. Make sure you have the right one.
The 3SX rear precat delete does not differentiate between 1gen, 2gen, or 3gen
What gen are you working on O.P. ?
well.... not really sure. its a 91 car. a 93 block/oil pan. 1 gen heads i believe.
Looks like a 1st gen precat elim.
According to 3SX there is no option of 1st gen or 2nd gen for their rear pre-cat delete.Quote:

The OP never said it was a 3sx precat eliminator... and the one from 3sx is drilled for both 1st gen and 2nd gen (ie: 2 holes on each side)Quote:

The 2 holes on each side shouldnt effect where it lines up to the brace. I have no clue what brand it is. I bought it used 3 years ago.
