Looks like a good way to have a street car sitting in the road on it's brake rotors...
I bet one good hit, and a subsequent hard launch, would turn those to carbon powder...
I bet they'd be awesome on a race car.
Hmm..I don't know they'd be awesome for a racecar either. Would depend on the resin. Carbon-carbon breaks for a racecar is a bit different than a wheel made of carbon fiber. A lot of resins start to soften between 250-350F. May not seem like much but extended time near a BBK during laps could be worrisome. Once that resin starts to weaken it wouldn't take long to get ugly.
Perhaps over thinking this (as usual) but I'd have to see some testing or something else to prove it's safe, spec sheets on the materials perhaps?
Dunno about racecar, but they claim to have been running them now for months on a 630hp moostang...

not on my car. not even if they were free.
Koenigsegg has full carbon wheels. Not even a metal hub.
From the phone.
I hear they even make airplanes out of Carbon Fiber these days.
Ah yes, i do remember that...but can you buy the wheels from them, i thought they only come with the car?
