I've mentioned my blood pressure a few times throughout this thread and today may be proof positive that my blood pressure issues were a direct result of stress. It looks like the last numbers I reported were 157 over 93. Those numbers were over a year ago, but I have been watching my blood pressure and the numbers have been high for awhile either way.
I have been away from my old, crappy, stress filled job for 3 weeks now. I checked my blood pressure this afternoon and it was 136 over 78 with 52 bpm. The systolic is still a touch high, but I am more than pleased with the diastolic and the heart rate.
I still do need to start a work out regimen, or at least start running, but for what it is worth I do more physical work at my new job than what I had anticipated, but that isn't a bad thing. We had a few days where we were doing nothing but tightening unions on some 4" hoses. It's a lot of arm work. Anyway, Friday rolled around and we went to lunch and I ended up falling asleep for about 20 minutes after I ate my lunch. LOL
Basically, when I am in the shop I am doing something that is working my muscles, just not getting much cardio.

Good work on the blood pressure numbers!

Well, after being horrible to my body yet again.
I have recently started my max 1000cal daily intake with a mon-friday 20 miles bike ride.
Let the games begin.... (in my head)

Right there with ya! Been doing this for about a week, with 30 min morning & evening bike ride. (intermittently sticking to the ride) :suspect:

Yesterday was good, did 16.7 miles in 61 minutes with 30 mph head winds most of the time. Shit kicked my ass lol. I hate the wind. This $110 walmart bike doesn't help the situation either, BUT, it does the job.

Being a tank of a bike is helping your fitness! Not a bad average for such a headwind.
-
road bike or mtb? i usually average a liesurly 10MPH on my bmx bike, but i'm not trying.
