Split. 8/10 maybe. I thought it was really good and for M. Knight really good compared to some of his films. James McAvoy killed it. I really think he did a fantastic job with all of the personalities. very impressive.
Kong Skull Island. 6/10 predictable, felt rushed but entertaining none the less.
Could not make it past the first few scenes of Split. MAybe I need to give it another go.
really? why was that?
Star Wars: TLJ. 5/10
I said a year ago that this movie was going to be a ripoff of 5...and it was. Without giving spoilers away, I was able to think of about 12 different plot elements that it stole from e5 (and that's not to mention the ones it stole from e4 or e6). Horrible, horrible, horrible. I haven't seen a sequel shit on its predecessor this badly since Alien 3...and that includes tripe like all the Marvel reboots & Alien Covenant.
Thor Ragnarok. 7/10
Enjoyable. Nothing to write home about. Predictable, slightly campy. Compared to E8 ^ that I watched the day prior...this is Oscar worthy.
Kingsmen: The Golden Circle. 7/10
Ok. Nothing special. Didn't quite have the flair of the original. About on par with what I expect for most 1st sequels.
I think the Last Jedi is a better movie than Force Awakens. I enjoyed it and it was fun in the moment.
After I got home the Star Wars nerd in me start picking at it. I feel the bigger star wars fan you are the less you will like it.
The bigger the fan/nerd you are the more the places this movie takes the series history and throws it out the window will piss you off.
