It doesn't make the point? My point was that they'd beat Michigan on a neutral site in a bowl game. How healthy was Nebraska the week after playing that Penn State team you guys avoided? While that ND game was exciting as hell, it was in Ann Arbor and it was a coin flip game. And you've got no evidence whatsoever to support your point (that they would be a middle of the road team in the B12 or SEC).
My match-up analyzer of choice, which adjusts for strength of schedule, predicts that whoever hosted the game (Boise vs Michigan) would win a squeaker... And it predicts Michigan would win @ VTech by 9.

MSU has been screwed over the past few years, but not so much this year, it was ours to lose in the Big Ten championship. I never once said we got screwed over this year. The only thing we got screwed over was the BS call at the end of the came for running into the kicker. When a player is blocked into the kicker (in the back I might add), and the kicker flops, I dont think it should be a penalty, especially when it's the difference between the game ending, or a shot at the win. I think Kansas State, Boise State, Baylor, and OK State all got screwed this year in terms of bowl games.
The only real way to solve it, is a damn playoff. Every other college sport, and every major pro sport all have playoffs, hell even the major high school sports all have playoffs. Why the hell can't college football? If you use the current big name bowl games as games in the playoffs, still have the money in them, the schools have a chance to make a lot more money from bowl games. Also I'm not for getting rid of the other 30 bowl games. Keep those all around for the bowl eligible teams that didn't make the playoff.
Done. Money is taken care of, teams still get to play in bowl games if they dont make the playoffs. Hell even have a two weeks off between the end of the regular season (start on Dec 24th ish), so the players have time for exams and stuff to keep the schools happy. If you started 2 weeks from this past Saturday, the championship game would be 1 week later than it is this year.
Maybe something good will come of this CCGMNC...
After BCS snub, Big 12 support boosts plus-one playoff format - Andy Staples - SI.com
I saw that about the Big East earlier. Absolutely stupid. What's even more funny is the Big East is still going to end up losing its AQ status and Boise will still be on the outside looking in.
But they're not crap! Dammit! :D
