You can destroy the button and glue it on to a dial. I was planning on using one of the spare fake buttons on mine (2nd gens have them).

Speaking of destroying the button, how did you guys that put the rotary switch in the ECS button spot handle the existing switch asm without destroying the whole switch asm and rendering the defrost button unusable?Quote:

I put mine in the side carpet of the center console in easy reach, but out of site of anyone that enters the car.
Not a bad location actually. I was thinking somewhere Where I can showcase it and have people think it's a factory control lol. Pretty badass the way I'm picturing it. But if I can't make it happen then a tuck away location is just as good.

You would have the large memory 8mhz processor and are limited to firmware v2.xx. When the 20mhz processor came out (November 2012), it unlocked new capabilities that I took advantage of in firmware 3.xx. The difference is 2.5 times faster processor, datalogging samples/sec now screams, and precise timing over a wide range of temperature (which improved OBD2/MUT connections). Upgrading is made easy because the old microprocessor is socketed, and I'm offering the 20mhz processor at a very low cost because I purchased a large quantity of them.
