STL Local checking in. :coo3l:
I actually work 5 minutes from the hotel.
There's a White Castle within walking distance for all of your late night burger cravings. lol
There's a family water park within walking distance as well. Pack your suits if you're bringing the little ones.
There's a Country Dance club within walking distance... Get your boot scootin' boogie on.
There's a go-kart, mini golf, and arcade within walking distance. Let your kids play games for tickets for trinkets
With the car show being in Alton... I would be remiss without talking about Fast Eddies for awesome, cheap food and cold drinks. (Lori and Alan got a taste of it on one of their visits)
Also, has there ever been consideration to giving locals "day passes" at a certain price points?
For instance... let's say I want to bring my dad to something one day and my brother another but their schedules don't allow them to attend all events. Very pricey for a local to bring a "guest" like that for one event, hence a "day pass". Just throwing out ideas.
Race events will have spectator fees for people that are not part of the group.
The spectator option is for the track entry ONLY! $10 at the gate.
Hanging out at the hotel for people that are not registered is not allowed.
Car show is at the part so its free to the public.
Unfortunately no real time for fast eddies on Saturday. Only a few hours separate the car show and the Banquet.
I still haven't seen it posted yet, when is the dyno day and will race gas be available or do we need to source it ourselves?
Jeff
Race gas is not available and will need to be sourced yourself. As the track does not open until Wednesday night you may want to find it local to you and bring it with you. Not many places in STL to get race gas besides the track unless you buy in bulk.
Come on Alan there is always time for a Fat Eddie Burger, a couple Big Elwoods, and some cold beer.:drink3:
There may not be time on Saturday, but a visit to Fast Eddies Bon Air is a highly recomended. The food is very tasty, the beer is super cold, and prices are pretty cheap. So for those looking for dinner ideas, I strongly recomend checking this place out on a weeknight. If you wait for the weekend it will be stupid busy.
And Kory you forgot to mention Bandana's BBQ in the list of walking distance food
Dyno Day is Wednesday
