i never said laptops were superior. but they are FAR, FAR from being the inferior weaklings that you seem to portray them as. i've watched laptops evolve over the last decade. you can now have a laptop which can play ANY game on maxed out settings. it may not have the fps of a desktop, but you can still crank it up. and i doubt a lot of people actually give a rat's ass about the difference between 120 fps and 180 fps; considering what the accepted limit of human visibility is--60fps.
additionally, while nvidia has done nothing but rebadge 2-gen-old desktop cards as laptop cards; ati has been busy putting identical hardware in both desktop and mobile solutions--in many cases with only a slight dip in voltage. i've seen the benchmarks. single vs. single. sli vs. sli. crossfire vs. crossfire. mobile is NOT that far behind desktops. it will always be a little behind desktops--but that gap has been closing. it's not a "victory by a mile" as you seem to so happily proclaim.
