One time I encountered a deer road block. Was cruising down some back roads one night and out of nowhere there's a row of deer in a perfect line covering the entire road as well as the sides. Nowhere to go. I came to a stop just inches from them. They just sat there staring at me, lol. I turned off my lights and they eventually wandered away.
Sounds like the night I smacked two der at the same time. Rounded a corner (I was giving the Stealth some hell) and there is a large group of deer.
Considering I hit two of them, I got lucky with most of the damage being to the marker lights. LOL
now on roads like that, i always drive with the hid's, hi beams and fogs on, lol
LOL, the main thing that hurt me was that the roads were just a little damp, so I probably slid a little further than normal, and the damn deer were running in place trying to get out the way.
I really don't understand why you have to be all super quite and shit when "hunting" or as I call it, "waiting on a deer to walk by" when they'll just stand around as a car comes screaming down the road making all the noise cars do.
They know I swear, they know when and where they can get shot at. That's why you see them in town when hunting season starts. When I worked at Oak Ridge National Lab there was a lot of wooded land and it rarely got hunted. I couldn’t believe all the wildlife that didn’t give a crap if you were there or not. They knew they were protected there. One day I sat there about 40’ away from 15 deer. They barely acknowledged me. If I’m out in the woods hunting they stay 1000’ away and if I step on a twig they run like hell lol.Quote:

E3 "demos" running on PCs is a long standing thing. If you recall Halo2's E3 "gameplay" demo, it wasn't real. They couldn't pull it off on the XBOX hardware, so they did it on a PC and had someone look like he was playing. Don't forget, these games may be made for consoles, but they are made on PCs so it's not too much more work to run it on a VM or similar to have a "playable demo" especially given that the new console launches in November, demos for playtesting and such were probably done months ago (or even a year ago) so they may have even had to do market testing or in house testing on PCs if they didn't have enough Xbox1 kits to work with.Quote:

I've literally driven around corners and come upon four wolves standing next to the road, five feet from my truck, looking at me like union workers on a smoke-break wondering wtf I'M doing there.
Deer, geese, bear, moose, baldies, coyotes, wolves, turkeys, cranes...we got it all. :)
