i have been actually daily driving my 3000gt the past week since finding out my lebaron needs to get timing belt/water pump done since it overheated. i ordered the parts so just gotta wait till they get here and it has been a great daily. also ordered a GTO rear garnish to put on when it gets here. just cant bring myself to pay 30 dollars for a MMC decal quite just yet.
i did a week ago put a new platinum AGM battery when mine finally died. i always had a scraping noise when starting the car but with the new battery i havent heard it since so hopefully that will resolve that issue long term.

Finished up project dirty sohc. Replaced head gaskets, timing belt, water pump, distributer cap, rotor, plugs, and wires.
There were a few wires that the squirrel had gotten to that I had to repair. Runs well and shifts through all the gears.
The owner painted the valve covers and intake. Didn't turn out too bad.

Car looks nice Uniuno. Is that a retro spec wing?

Thanks!
I don't think it is. I actually bought it second hand, but I'm pretty sure that was before retro spec came on the scene. I believe it is a C7 from 3sx.
I'd like another one for the stealth, I just don't feel like spending that kind of money. I got a smoking deal on this one, hard to pay full price now.

Removed the car cover, installed the battery, checked all fluid levels and drove it for the first time this year. Ready for UMG this weekend!

fitted a big filter. Was tiiight
10.25" filter can fit with evo maf :applause: :encouragement: than again I Think evo maf is more of an air restriction than the filter, but hey it can't hurt right :)

Yesterday I replaced the spark plugs as I was getting a little bit of a misfire when it was cold and the old plugs looked a bit fouled, also replaced a vacuum cap that was badly cracked and leaking so hopefully between the two the cold miss is gone. Also, I had previously bought the solid shifter bushings but the for/aft movement seemed to bind a bit so I had put the old bushing back in for the mean time and figured out what size spherical bearing to order. Finally got around to pressing the spherical bearing in yesterday. Now if only I could get rid of the last left/right slop when its in gear but that is coming from the shift tower on the trans itself so not sure what to do with that yet.

still daily driving the 3000gt. waiting for my GTO rear garnish to get here! kinda thinking i should do a front end rebuild with ball joints, bushings, etc since i am, getting alot of shake at 75mph and upward. the wheels are tight but i think that since everything on it is stock (57000 miles as well) its not so much mileage but the age getting to it now.

Well, been on the road a lot for work so my progress for anything has been limited. Swapped the MBQuart components in my BMW back out, didn't like the results. Went to Bavsound for a plug and play upgrade. Little quieter than the OE speakers were, but the sound quality is a bit better and more balanced.
Other than that, picked up a 6G74 long block that I'll be selling parts off of while working towards building a 3.7L with MIVEC heads (assuming it all comes together like I'd hope.) Also picking up yet another bigger set of TD05 turbos and a 2G shell (that's green :( )
Going to look into having the engine bay cleaned up and shaved a bit, and having it professionally repainted. May still do it myself, but..mehhh. That'd be a multiweekend project.
