I have a buddy from PA visiting this week/weekend so I put the passenger seat back in the car. ;)
I also got new seat skins, boots and knobs/handles.

HE SEES THE LIGHT! FINALLY!!!
But srsly, get a VR4. Make your green one a solid and reliable DD and you will get to enjoy it and still have all the memories... the new one can can be your monster! You got that new 7 figure job like a year ago... you have the money!
NICE! I'll be the obnoxious drunk ginger!
And for my own update, I pulled the fuel stuff off, pulled some miscellaneous engine bits off, front brakes and suspension are off... gotta go pick up a new socket set cause I don't have anything big enough to get off the axle nuts currently, or those would have been pulled as well!
Dropped the 1g off to get inspected for the first time in 2 years, cant wait to drive her again!
Spent some time last night trying to track down where the battery drain was coming from that keeps killing my battery when the car sits. I have two batteries in the car and after sitting overnight they are both dead and won't start the car.
Started with the main battery doing a parasitic load test. Pulled about 0.23ma which is typical load from things like the ECU, Radio memory, Etc. Enabled the rear battery and it started pulling almost 4 amps.... WTF!!
So it seems that my slow drain is actually coming from the rear Kinetic battery for the stereo pulling 4 Amps from the main battery. I started keeping the system on a float charger due to it sitting in the garage so much. So I ordered an isolator/relay that will disconnect the rear battery when the car is not running. That way the only time the rear battery is in circuit is when the engine is running and the Alternator is able to keep a constant charge load on the batteries.
Yeah that happens in dual battery systems without an isolater. One time we used a ford starter solenoid as a relay for a second battery in a farm truck.
Never really had an issue like this in the past with previous batteries. I wonder if it's cause I have a mixture of AGM in the trunk and regular lead acid under the hood. Regardless it will be fixed this weekend when the isolator relay gets here.
