What did you do today to your 3/S?

haha you ordered stuff too? i did that last night ....about 450 spent between ninja and 3sx. i love living so close to them it takes only a day for standard shipping.

oh yea, i found a coolant leak while changing oil. put a piece of cardboard under it and sure enough the next morning had a massive coolant stain on it. car never over heats though so not a head gasket problem. i have had to refill the reservoir a couple times in the past few months but never lose coolant from the radiator and always is full when i check under the cap.

looks like from what ive researched its a possible leaky hose near the thermostat housing. just gotta pressure test it to find out where its at.

Just remove the intake pipes to make room around the thermostat housing, unplug the MAF and start the car. That's how I found my coolant leak on one of the turbo coolant lines.

went ahead and got my new thermostat and o ring in to hopefully remedy the coolant leak. checked the same spot again before i started to see if i could find the leak area but everythings dry. pressure tested just fine also. there was alot of white powder around my thermostat housing but it wasnt wet. if it still leaks then i dont know what else it could be since the engine has never overheated and the radiator is always full and has fluid all the way to the cap. might have to do the dye test if i still find myself refilling the reservoir tank

but one things always leads to another, and now i have to replace the oil pan gasket. noticed 2 drip spots on the bottom of the oil pan so that is leading me to believe why i lost 2 quarts of oil in between changes.

now all i have to do is wait 6 weeks for my borla exhaust to be made and shipped
