What did you do today to your 3/S?

Indeed. I tried to sand mine, but paint just kept peeling off and clogging the sandpaper. Eventually gave up and put a wire wheel on an angle grinder to power through it.

Today I didn't do much, thought I was getting better and could finish cleaning up my garage in preparation for dragging a shell here..So very very wrong. Ears feel like they need to pop and my sense of balance is nowhere to be found.

As an added thought, anyone ever hang a 3S hood on the wall? I'm thinking just bolting a 2x4 across the hinges and then running it into the studs for the wall with lag bolts is probably the easiest solution, but open to other suggestions.

My car had been leaking ps fluid since I bought it. It was hard to tell where it was coming from. A few weeks back there was a huge puddle of ps fluid in my garage. Looks like a seal on the pump went out as it was pouring out from around the pump when I tried refilling it to identify the leak. Finally got around to working on it yesterday. I didn't realize just how little room there was to work around in these things. It's been a slow process but I'm hoping to have it done today.

Tried my RPS light flywheel out for the first time. I have no idea why people bitch that these are hard to drive. Grandma could drive it with the spec 4+ in it. If I didn't tell someone they'd probably not realize it wasn't a stock flywheel. They might think it was a stock clutch. It just revs easier and feels a little smoother. It doesn't want to die at all taking off, very easy.

It's the 3s community. If a turbo requires more than 3000 rpms to spool or the clutch is 2 lbs heavier than stock...bitching occurs lol.

I have come to realize over time that 95%+ of naysayers on the forums have never actually tried the parts in question. You have to try it for yourself.

I had a lightweight flywheel on my NA for a while. I noticed that if I accelerated hard and then pressed the clutch the IAC wasn't fast enough to catch the engine and it would die. It did let the engine rev faster though, I learned to drive it like that anyway. Then my POS SPEC clutch blew the spring cages out and ruined the flywheel. I now have a lightweight steel flywheel on my TT and it is best of both worlds for me. Each car is different, sounds like yours behaves a lot better.

Well I managed to pull my old ps pump off. Turns out the flow control valve is what broke off my old pump. My new pump has everything BUT that valve. Does anyone know if I can purchase that by itself? Local Dodge dealer couldn't help me.

I don't think the pieces of the pump are available separately new. Might be worth buying a rebuilt pump and sending yours in as a core or buy a replacement part from one of the used parts vendors :)

Anywho, back to the regularly scheduled program. I painted up everything but the subframe now. All mounts are complete! Going to pull the subframe tonight and prep and hopefully paint it as well! Compressor pooped out on me though so sandblaster is fairly worthless (builds up to 60 psi and falls to 25 psi while spraying).
