It's not that difficult to pull the old processor off because it is socketed. Just use a flat-head screw driver to lift it up. I find it easier to lift the processor up slightly, push it back down again, lift it back up again; this causes the other side of the processor to lift up making the removal easy to do. Installing new micro is straight forward: insert micro, push down slightly, verify all pins are still going in straight, push all the way in.

If you're uncomfortable with the upgrade, just send the black box to me and I will do the work for free. Return shipping cost will be $7. Send me private message for mailing address, etc.

Hey thanks man, I got my chip and installed it. Then turned the car on and was like why is my af ratio 17. I forgot all my old settings were gone lol do you have a write up on how to set up the load vs duty or what your settings are that's what I followed last time?

Sounds like to me you need to configure your WB02 low and WB02 high settings. By default its set to 10 and 20 respectively, but that differs from some WB02 manufacturers.

Load vs Dutycycle is something new that a user requested. Sorry, I have no values for it. You can leave them at zero for no duty cycle change.

I'm not sure but for some odd reason v2.24 was the last one I was able to use correctly. I tried flashing v3.0 tonight and while that worked I couldn't get it to connect at all. I made sure it was set for MUT and the cable settings were normal MUT/OBD2. I even tried v2.7 thinking it was something else but ended up fllashing back to v2.24 because I couldn't get it to connect. It's weird but with v2.24 it connected right away.

v3.0 firmware only works on the 16/20Mhz processors. If you load firmware 3.0 on the older 8mhz processor, you may see the menus and such but the serial communication won't work at all (like connecting to your MUT ECU) ; so it's no surprise to me that it didn't work.

Have you ordered the newer 20mhz processor? It uses a crystal for precise timing, and this should make connecting to MUT ECU more consistent.
