It's not that difficult to pull the old processor off because it is socketed. Just use a flat-head screw driver to lift it up. I find it easier to lift the processor up slightly, push it back down again, lift it back up again; this causes the other side of the processor to lift up making the removal easy to do. Installing new micro is straight forward: insert micro, push down slightly, verify all pins are still going in straight, push all the way in.
