Replacing the slave is super easy... The master is a bit of a PITA.

Started sanding/polishing my compressor housings.
Had my Azenis tires dismounted of my stock chromies, to put the stockers into storage and I have a sale pending on the tires. All this was done for monies and to make room for my spare transmission that should be here tomorrow.
yes, yes they did
I cleaned the garage and moved the stealth over to the side for its final resting place. Had to make room for the nova to be able to be parked/worked on in the garage.

Final resting place? What happen?

Nothing just don't feel like working on it/dumping money into it anymore, its been an ongoing project for a while. Machine shop fucked my heads up a couple years ago and trashed my engine since then I haven't really cared to work on it. I got the Nova for my performance needs now. I am going to spend roughly 2 grand and have a bullet proof 500whp in the Nova, I have more than that in my rods and pistons for my stealth so ridiculous.
it depends on how you apply the dressing. yes if you just spray it on, its going to run and look like shit. but if you spray it on the rag you are using, and do not over apply, it should not run and will look decent. it also depends on what product you use, i would recomend the water based products as opossed to the oil based.
I looked at it hoping to get to work on it today but between school and work it didn't happen. :(
My to do list before Fri evening:
Swap motor mounts for poly
Install upgraded radiator
Wire up a 2nd A/C fan
Finish changing out rod bearings
Install IPS oil pan
Install oil cooler with AN adapters on the filter housing
Take off rear turbo
Install new turbos, oil feed lines, and coolant lines
Change out intercooler core
Put it all back together and retune
That's longer than I thought. :(
Shit im 4K deep in my SL and its only 200Whp. Of course not all of that is engine mods...
who keeps track of totals? you guys are nuts
you start doing that and you start thinking of the 10 other cars you could have instead. or if you add up the time spent a part time job at mcdonalds would've bought you a new c6 by now.
I can buy a new 2013 Shelby :(
Boss laguna > shelby..everytime.
Jason
I guess you guys don't put a value on having a hobby.
Get this negative bullshit outta here.
Found out my newly installed alternator belt was not quite tight enough, and would squeal under load with the AC on. Managed to snake a box end wrench down to unlock the pulley, used a crap load of extensions to get to the adjusting bolt, and about 10 minutes later no more squeal. Good times.
After having not really touched my car for a few years (apart from just driving it very rarely), it's honestly nice to turn a wrench on it. I guess that is a nod toward Adam's comment about a hobby having a value. I could get a different car, but this one I know so well. Why ruin that?
:D
Replaced crappy rubber fuel line from pumps with submersible line. (note to self: stop installing used parts as received assuming previous work was good. and stop buying used parts!)
Logs didn't show lean on either wideband, so bucking may have not been solved yet. I did have a ballooned in tank fuel line on one pump. Both have been replaced. Log did show a crazy throttle/TPS of back and forth from 100 to 0% repeatedly. Will take it out for a quick spin soon and see if anything has changed.
Un-boxed my spare tranny and put it on the pallet until I can afford to get the rest of the "goodies" I have planned for it.
Trying to get my build plans straight....
noticed it had flat tires.
Installed a set of these:
Mitsubishi 3000GT Drive Shaft Carrier Bearing Support Bushings

Quick shipping, fits perfect, and don't have to worry about replacing them ever again. Went well with my new oem carrier bearings. :)
It's easy. Go big.
So proud! Look at my lil fish!

look awesome except for the ebay evo3, lol.
Was he actually helpful in there? My Dad couldn't get me in the garage until I turned 16 haha
Careful with those.. the stock rear bushings space the carrier bearing down more than the fronts (at least on my car), yet all 4 are the same size.. I had to size out "shim-stacks" of washers to create the proper spacing.. before I did that I was getting an awful clunk.
decided to try to do something about the banana. Made my entire car look sad. So broke out the rubbing compound, wax and buffer then went to town.
