Rebirth of a street beast

Breaking news..... The methanol system is fixed and the first pull managed to produce 450HP and 400TQ according to virtual dyno. I need to get with Matt about setting these gates up as it only managed to hold 17psi.

Then I turned on the bc. 606HP and 531TQ at 23psi. I can't load the graphs now because my computer has the logs and cannot access the internet at my parents house. This is still on pump + meth. The c16 is sitting outside and probably won't be added until I get back to GA.

did you set and balance them with a hand pump installed on the turbos? What PSI did you set them to with the hand pump? (what psi were you at once they even budged AT ALL?). Remember there is back pressure in the exhaust helping them open on the car that's not there when your setting them on the bench. In most cases you need to set the pre-load 2-3psi higher on the bench then you want them to open on the car. So if you want 20psi base pressure you need to set them with 23psi pre-load on the bench. That's 23psi were they move AT ALL, not full open. Also note they both must open at the EXACT same psi, if not you will have one turbo doing way more work then the other and power will be lower and you will overspeed and kill that turbo.

REAL strong numbers for 23 psi...

They moved at 22psi on the bench. They moved at the exact same time. They were off the car sitting side by side on a table.

Strange that there opening 5psi lower on the car. The hand pump gauge could be off, there not exactly a precision tool lol But the higher you go the more back pressure your going to have on the car.... You may just want to try it from were you are at. Ray only has his set to 15psi and he was able to go over 30psi and make 687 whp.

Not much gonna happen until I get back to GA. The 14psi springs held 30 before so there is no doubt these will do the job. My plan was to keep my hands off the boost controller and be locked by the gates on pump gas. There's quite a bit of adjustment left on the arms so I will tinker with it when I get it back home.

It could be from pre throttle body pressure being higher than intake manifold pressure skewing the gates open pressure. The feed line for the boost control solenoid is pre tb. Either way, they will need to be adjusted and I will post my findings as I test. I had a map sensor pre tb and maf sensor which would register a near 3psi difference at 25psi+ before. I'm thinking that is what is happening.

That sounds like it's most likely it. But remember don't put your line to the boost controller AFTER the meth jets, or you will pump meth into the boost control solenoid and kill it. (if you were thinking of moving it)

Sounds like you need one of our 90MM intakes:)

The reference has been in the same place since '09. The dsbc has been in there since '08. I've been spraying meth since '09. I think it'll be good to go. Hoping to hit the goal without any more purchases.

Been back in GA for a couple days so here's the graph for the earlier post.

The clutch is starting to get tired so some delay in good progress is gonna happen. It's still drivable, it's just that engagement is at the top of the pedal's throw and slippage is going to happen soon.
