Pulling the front bumper for some cosmetic enhancements
Sold the Stealth. Only one garage queen now, lol.
Finally virtually finished my racing seat/harness install. All I'm missing is a good way to restrain the shoulder straps on the roll bar (they can slide side to side and the bar isn't far enough behind my seat to cross them). I bought some 1.75" clamp-on brackets designed for ballast, but I think they'll work well. When I need to add another point to the bar, I'll weld on loops.
Also paid maximal for my custom high flow cat :) It's pretty funny looking, but it's the most cost effective way to put a cat designed for gasoline in my 4" exhaust.

Lol, that does look funny

did the ac delete and drove it today. Finally
Changed plugs and wires
I started draining the tank on my stealth preparing to put 91 back in to see if the misfire goes away. Because that took so long I started assembling together my new engine hoist which turned into a pull the motor and transmission out of the VR-4. :p I just need to pull the rear diff and I'll have all the parts out I need for the 5-speed swap.
I've got the rest of the month to pull the 6-speed and motor while I'm in there, check bearings and oil pump, install Devastators, and swap the 5-speed drivetrain in. Hopefully come the end of the month I'll be ready for the track.
I got my interior floor pans hatch and area behind the bumper painted black, finally. The whole car is soon to be black.
Drove it and out new front brakes and fixed the rust underneath.

My GT-35R's, headers and piping are on their way to me as I type this... I'm starting to get pretty damn excited to receive them. I've been patiently waiting to mock this all up. My motivation on the car is now peaked and things are starting to get done. Today all the electrical reductions will be finished, the engine will be going into the car, and I may start putting the interior back in!
I 2nd Adams comment/concern.

Should be a fun setup.

I'll be making a build thread for sure! Once I get my engine bay painted and throw the engine in I'll start it up (hopefully today) from there, It'll be a little slow going as I'm only home for four days at a time. But I'll stay on top of it :) Thanks!
Gonna need bigger back ends than the .63's on 35R's for those kinda numbers.
For that kind of power if you need a 35R based turbo the HTA86 from FP is probably the only one that will realistically put down those numbers. Rays 6262's had the .82 housings and seemed well suited for something as lofty as 1200awhp.
Jason
I had looked into that just before I ordered them, 1200hp was my original goal, and concluded that I'd need bigger A/R's but didn't want to end up with painful lag. Time will tell what happens though, should be interesting to see what I can make in the end!
Today I finished up the paint in my engine bay, door and hatch jambs. Looks great thus far! In a few days after the paint cures I'll be giving it all a good cut wax and buff. The firewall is textured to accept the gold leaf heat reflector better.

Beautiful. Make sure it goes down the 1/4 faster then nelsons. Regardless of what u do.
All I have to do is drive my own fucking car and I'll be faster than Nelson... :suspect:
P.s.
Here's the engine in the car :)

Drove it to work, then to get thai and vvvvhttp://img.tapatalk.com/aee98041-abf9-f14d.jpg
Finally put together a need it and want it parts list. Going for an aggressive street car and something that can still be competitive.
It is heavy haha, I wanted to remove a lot more, but I really want to maintain the full interior and keep some rigidity. I don't want it to crumple like a beer can if anything bad ever happens on the roads. If I ever tear into it again, I'm thinking of pulling all of it and fabricating aluminium bracketing to install the interior. Time will tell though!
It's a lot of work so far, but now that it's starting to come together again, rather than apart and ugly, I'm enjoying the build much more :)
Started the 60k, just waiting on parts now.

Wrote down my mileage for insurance purposes... 75,400 Miles :runaway:
Installed my hoop spoiler. Quite the job but looks great
Found out was caused Todd's two engines to blow. And it has nothing to do with Methanol Injection or the amount of it we spray(well, almost)...
Jason
I drained my tank, filled it with 91, and had to drive about 15 miles to clean out the rest that was left in there. I almost thought it wasn't going to solve my misfiring issue but sure enough everything cleared up. For some reason I can't go past about 9 psi now because it cuts out so I think I may need to change out my fuel filter. Other than that I drove about 50 miles through some back road twisties doing 70+ through 30 mph turns and had a blast. :D It was extremely nice outside 70s. I'm almost leaning more and more towards getting a Spyder so I can drive with the top down. Lol.
Jason you care to expand on your findings?
doing a little reading it seem to be pistons. (TOO MUCH POWA CAP'n)
I posted that because its a fairly serious problem for people with piggy backs that don't have timing control that are making good power. Todds engines blew from excessive timing down low causing cylinder pressures high enough that the exh valves couldn't even open, collapsing a lifter and causing the cam to shover the rocker out of the way. several cars recently were dynod witth piggy backs, all gained 30+ hp down low by nearly halving the timing or literally halving it...
Just something i myself and some others put together after breaking this last engine down with the intent of trying to find what caused the failure. Which was 4 pistons obliterated while being under 5k rpms and 50% throttle....
Jason
Thanks for expanding. Sorry for being a dick. I shouldn't have said it that way at all.
^ Thats a first.
Did a vacuum line reduction and installed boost controller. It boosted so good it blew my factory Y-Pipe gasket the shit lol
