I never bothered to ask this, but the stroker is a 6g74 crank right? So the rod journals are wider but it uses 72 rods?

Yes, custom machined crank with 72 rods and rays custom piston for 72/74 stroker.
From Ray's thread..."ive come up with a new technique that KEEPS the stregnth of the 74 crank and still fits it in your 72. a crank is only as strong as the area of the smallest cross section. in the corners of the mains, stock cranks are rolled to a smaller diameter for cost savings but thats where the cracks start.
i have a new way of machining the large 74(or 75) cranks down while leaving these corners untouched so the diameter and overlap are the same as a stock 74. (leaving a large radius like a race crank) this will use custom main bearings to make this work and makes this design as strong as a stock 74 can be! (which is stronger than a 72)"

On topic post...nothing.
But my injectors should be back from witchhunter tomorrow. Curious to see what their report says.
Buy my stroker Adam. :p Nah I want to use it eventually. It's staying bagged and disassembled in my basement until I upgrade to a bigger setup. My drivetrain and subframe restoration comes first.
Today I took my wheels off and cleaned them up to sell since I got a deposit on them. I also found out from the tracking number I finally got today that my injectors were delivered Monday but it must have gone to the wrong house. The guy misspelled my address although the house number, zip, and full name were correct. I traded my 550s and needed those others to get my car running so I'm going to check with the postman tomorrow morning to see if they have any other info on file for which house it got delivered to. I don't want to chalk up more money for injectors.
Finally got the freshly rebuilt transmission installed in the 92. Now over the next couple of days we will find out if I have the ability to actually put together at least one of the Stealths that I've torn apart LOL
The GTO runs wahoo bad ECU who would have thought lol

So while covering a bit of work today (repairing and painting door, fixing some wiring issues and putting on my powder coated valve cover) I came across this...

Looks like the 60k is happening now. But I am lucky I came across it before it skipped teeth.
How the cover get like that?
Yo that belt is about to slip!! And my covers look just like that!! Funk man!
I found the 720cc injectors I traded which got sent to the wrong address. I installed those, new plugs, new wires, new fuel filter, and it still ran the same as it did on the 1000s with the ARC-2. It misfires so bad I can't get into boost, it sounds like a semi-automatic when I give it any throttle, and no matter how much fuel I would throw at it nothing worked. I've already replaced pretty much all of the ignition and fuel components. I thought it might be bad gas so I drained about 7 gallons of E85 out, added 2.5 gallons of 91, and tried again. It ran much better but still misfired. It seemed like it was misfiring from being too lean. It did it when it was too rich also. I could sometimes find a happy medium but realistically I think the ARC-2 isn't capable of running E85 because it has a lack of fine tuning. It was either too lean or too rich and only part of the time the car would be "happy" and sound great. It's either that, the gas is bad I got, or maybe I still don't have good coils, PTU, etc.
After today's events I'm going to drain the tank, add 91 back in, and see what happens. I have a feeling the car is going to run just fine because all these issues starting popping up when I ran nothing but E85. I will revisit it again when I swap in a flashed ECU. I don't know maybe my FPR is bad or my new Aeromotive Stealth pump is bad. It almost seems like it doesn't get enough fuel WOT.
Only problems I've had with the ARC2 is if one setting is off, it totally fucks the whole thing up. Does E85 need a different AFR vs gas or something?
Jason
Yeah it does. It doesn't have as wide of a window for the AFR I guess you could say. It had to idle and cruise almost in the 13/14s to not misfire. Low 10s was too rich and it would misfire. 11s it wasn't cleared up either. Around 12.5:1 WOT it seemed ok. I think with the bigger injectors I just couldn't dial it into the narrow window so the idle, cruising, WOT, and acceleration was all happy at once. Usually 2 out of the 4 would be ok.
I had no problems at all with 550s tuning E85 because the injectors were smaller and thus each click of the ARC-2 made finer adjustments. The only problem is I was out of fuel at 4k rpms. I didn't run into problems until I went with larger injectors on E85 so I'll try draining the tank and putting 91 in to see what it does which from the looks of things should run fine. I have a HKS DLI but it shouldn't be spark plug blowout. I'm not running 20+ psi. I may try swapping the fpr, fuel pump, coils, and PTU again just to see if it makes any changes. I've tuned the ARC-2 enough on different cars to know how to dial it in and even get the knobs where it isn't one setting off as long as I watch the wideband. I'm not completely sure what all is going on since I'm a little puzzled. I may try narrowing it down by installing the flashed ECU, doing a global correction to scale the injectors down, and then finish tuning the ARC-2 on E85. If it works like that where the ARC-2 sees the injectors as say 500cc instead of 720cc and the car runs fine I'll know that with the larger injectors and E85 it can't fine tune the AFR enough. I guess since it hadn't been tried I wanted to give it a shot before completely changing engine management setups.
I think I had the ARC-2 setup as LOW +3 MID -7 HIGH maxed out and ACCEL +3 with the 720s, ~8.5 gallons of E85, and 2.5 gallons of 91.
Shit man I thought it would work. I just have to get me car running to really give ya my results bro . If it doesn't work for me then I have no choice but to swap in small injectors and run race gas which means the car won't be driven as much due to high gas prices hehe.
Changed my oil. Washed it. And painted my wiper stalks and piece under the windshield
Yeah I don't know exactly what the deal is. I think it was misfiring some from running rich WOT but you can't go off the wideband gauge because it doesn't react fast enough. I didn't bring my laptop with me because I wanted to see if adding 91 made any difference in the misfire. I could be having some fuel issues. I swapped out FPRs but it may work better with an AFPR since my fuel pump could be overriding the stock FPR even though I can tune out the idle to be lean if I want. I've got a few things to try before I give up with it. I still think it's odd but probably because I haven't figured it out yet. Lol. Hopefully you have different results.
Drove one of them for the first time in a few months.
Also, open downpipe sounds AWESOME!!
I had fun being stuck on the service road of a major highway. Car shut down and wouldn't start. Fortunately Bob "oohnoo" was only 15 minutes away and came to assist in getting the car off to the side along with a good samaritin.
Could not figure out why the car wouldn't start until I called Ray Pampena who immediately said it was the fuel pump.
Checked and sure enough the fuse up front was blown that leads to my main power distribution block in the rear of the car where the pump is hotwired. Apparently I've developed some kind of short with one of the amplifiers and because the fuse up front is less resistant than the amp fuses in the distribution block, the whole link gets broken. DUH !
Removed the amplifier fuses and off I went. Now I simply have to find the problem as I do not intend to drive up to NEG this weekend without sound. LOL
I drove it legally today it takes some getting used to but RHD 3s are a blast

Change trans fluid...... Put her in storage for the year :(
Changed spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. All while camping on the North Umpqua river in Oregon :) Then spent the day at Toketee Falls and Umpqua Hot Springs relaxing!
^ not cute
UMG, NG, and BRG are over for the year.
I picked up a set of cloth manual seats from the local pick-n-pull for $30.00 ea. They are in mint condition!!! Finally getting rid of those damn crappy leather electric seats!!
so many track days left in the year..........
I'm done for the year as well.......track day fund ran out. Might catch Road Atlanta early fall run depending on how work does.
I didn't think there would be a fall BRG....... Just a get together for atl w/ Em and Hans
I hope so. I'm curious to see how yours act. Maybe my car just hates me. Lol. I tried a new PTU, coils, and gapped the plugs down to 0.024" from 0.028" but still nothing. Even with half a tank of E85 and the rest 91 I still have random misfiring. It isn't constant and sometimes hard to repeat. It's like the ECU is fighting and it won't make up its mind under various conditions where it works one time then the next it doesn't. I'm going to drain the tank, put 91 in, and I think that should solve it. If it does still misfire I'm going to check my injector harness/connectors and replace them all. I didn't care for the retaining clip style anyways plus they get brittle over time. I'm pretty sure that once I put the 91 in it will clear things up because these issues didn't occur until the E85, 1000cc injectors, and non-projected tip plugs were in. I've ruled everything out to where it's either bad gas or the ARC-2.
I'll definitely be ordering upgraded lines shortly since having an AFPR and fuel gauge would be beneficial let alone the dual pumps I'll need to run ethanol once I get the flashed ECU put in. I can probably get pump track numbers and a dyno but that may be it for this year.
You saw mine. They're pretty hard and dried up. And the passenger side looks like a dog took a bite out of it lol.
At least I can't feel the bars or anything. I just really like the adjustable lumbar, sides and headrests :)
Dropped a punctured gas tank on a '98 base and installed 4 OEM chrome exhaust tips. Had to dill out broken bolts in the tip's mounts, weld on a mounting bracket, and weld new nuts in.
Also discovered the '95 SL has a coolant leak in what seems to be the timing belt area. Previous owner told us he had all that done recently, and I was lazy enough not to check. So tomorrow that comes apart and probably gets a 60k service.
