Armory Thread

Went duck and pheasant hunting this weekend in South Dakota. My 870 Xpress Super Magnum functioned quite well for getting the entire gun submerged in water and into a few feet of much.

It is a CZ75 PCR. The PCR is the alloy framed compact, all PCR's have the decocker instead of a safety. The gun is double/single action and is SWEET! The stock grips are excellent, I put about 70 rounds through it shooting at cans and the hillside Thanksgiving morning and shooting it was just as good as looking at it! I need to shoot some paper, i really had no idea where I was at while shooting. I am VERY new to shooting so I cant go saying that the gun is accurate (but its not any more innacurate than any other 3.7" barreled gun out there).

Also a couple months ago I bought a CZ52, this thing is a CANNON! Shoots .30 cal downrange at ~1600 fps.

The 52 is a riot to shoot, guys at the range look at WTF is going off since its so loud. Spent brass goes flying 20+ feet in a 45 degree arc, I love it!

I picked up a new plain jane Ruger 10/22 as well, put some Tech sights on it. 25 round mags go so damn fast!

Any suggestions on a first time hand gun? Not sure if I want to get one but have been considering it for fun at the range and home defense. Probably won't carry it.

Anywhere to buy used (or do you need to be knowledgeable about guns to spot bad used ones?)

My brother asked me today what a .357 Desert Eagle was worth because apparently his co-worker has bought a XBox One and someone wants to trade him the 357 and $100 for the XBox.

The Desert Eagle is modular. You can switch between a variety of .50 Action Express, .44 Mag, or even .357 Mag in the standard size Desert Eagle by Magnum Research. I would not trade ANY for an XBONE. Aside from the depreciation of technology, it is still a terrible trade. If he trades, it one of the worst things he could do from the standpoint of investments and common sense.

Just picked up a new CCW. Absolutely love the Shield!

On top is my daily carry, a Gold Combat Stainless II with Crimson Trace laser grips. Next is Barb's Ultra TLE II, also with a laser grip, and the last is my backup piece, a Custom Stainless Target in 10mm.
