I had the front bumper, snake eyes, carbon fiber hood and fiberglass hatch (not installed) painted. Those pics are from this weekend. I still need to buy a new Mitsu emblem for the bumper.
Rest of car badly needs clay barred and polished. That's a summer project.
Pulled pan on new engine. Going to swap bearings and put her back together
Only have another idle vid listening to cam lope:). May see if wife can vid a fly-by. Don't have a go-pro to capture inside vid but not sure it would do the experience justice. You guys seriously need to experience a 7k+ awd auto shift from 1st to 2nd. It's a helluva drug.
Drive to STL and show me ;)
I forgot you are that close. (3hrs) You can come my way for some rural driving and fun....Beer, bonfire, and burnouts!:D
Even with the 14B on E85 it was a pretty sweet set up (you know...aside from the logging not working and the boost limit issue)

Today, I have accomplished little. I power washed the drive way (electric power washer ftl) and spent way too long on it. Still can't get the compressor going, so I said to hell with actually finishing body work and smoothing it all out perfectly and just put down a coat of black spray paint...outdoors...in the wind..and the pollen. You can see pretty much every body imperfection, but I just don't have it in me to try to do all this body work by hand. Too much rough work to be done that should be handled with a DA and an inline sander, all I have is a handheld sanding block at the moment and I'm more interested in getting the car running again since it'll be getting completely resprayed down the road. It is all one color again at least, and I can wetsand a lot of those imperfections back out later..Or you know, do widebody fenders over the top and nobody can tell.
Also got half of one head reassembled after tear down and reinspection. Have to order new plugs for the galleys or whatever still, but once these are done, I can reassemble the long block and torque everything down to spec. Question though, it's been so long since I put the shortblock together and I'm honestly struggling to remember if I torqued the rods and girdle to spec, or if I just vaguely tightened them up before torquing...Assuming I have to back them off a few turns (or all the way) and go at it from scratch? Or can I just put the torque wrench to them and see what reading I get?
