I am fairly new to the 3S platform. I bought my 93 Sandstone Gray Metallic VR-4 this past May. My plans for the car is to have it run forever. I will eventually prep the car for autocross and maybe road racing.
I am a turbofan engine repairer. I work on F402 engines for the Harrier II. I have also worked on J-52 engines for the EA-6B Prowlers. I enjoy the technology of cars and their handling. I hope to learn more about the car and help support the community in improving the understanding and maintenance of the platform.

Hello All,
Liked the forum so decided to join. I was a your average Dsm guy and now playing with the Vr4 platform.
My name is Jason From Georgia I just recently bought a gt for 900 bucks. It has been beat up by previous owners but i am working to make it alot better. It is the first one i have owned out of 60 or so cars since the age of 14 but i like it so much. it is a daily driver. Just replaced the clutch and lower ball joints, fixed the missing and the sputtering. Have to do the rotors and lower it. Way way to much gap between the tire and the fender. It needs paint to but the running and driving will be right before it gets the paint.
Hi,

Welcome! Post a thread here so that your issues/questions can be looked at. Turbo Engines and Systems
Hi all, I bought a vr4 project that has been more than I've bargained for and am in need of help.
Spun bearing and have questions that I haven't found answers for.
Was wondering if I could use a NA motor and transplant the necessary TT stuff from the bad bearing motor.
Thanks
Hi NewTT, this is just the welcome thread, so I wont get too into it here but......You CAN use an NA engine but you will not be able to boost more than 6-7 psi because the NA is 10:1 compression and the TT is 8:1. If you put TT pistons in the NA you will be fine.
Welcome to the forum.

Hello!
hello
Hey there, I'm a previous owner of 1992 3000GT SL. I regret selling it a few years back and now I'm on the market for another one. I figured these cars are getting older and although they age well, I need to learn a bit more about them before investing in my next purchase.
So I'm here to possibly find a nice 3000GT and also to learn more about the cars in general, i.e. what I should look out for when buying one and whatnot.
Thanks, and I look forward to being part of the forums!
Just your typical gearhead with a distinct love for 3s cars. I've had several Stealths both na and tt and am looking to acquire a low mileage vr4, preferably 3rd gen. Can't seem to get enough of the platform. I wish the girlfriend felt the same way lol :lol7:
I can't wait to start browsing the forums and learning from others. l'm always looking to broaden my knowledge on these cars as I'm a do it yourself kind of guy. :bigthumb:
