Whats the N/A AWD GTO? Just GTO?
Thanks for the clarification Joe, I did not think there were GTO VR4s which is why I asked how they were designated.
I guess I use it on almost everything. Especially threading into aluminum. I've never had problems with stuff backing out.
There is probably some stuff I don't use it on, like the motor mount cross bolts and what not. I don't know, I kinda base it on if the original bolt was a little corroded then I use it so it comes out easily next time. I think it also causes the threads to wear out a little more slowly when you are taking something apart all the time.
You especially need it on those stupid 10mm headed bolts holding a lot of the body together. Those things break if you breath on them.
GTO SR = AWD SL?
I want one.
I believe thats a Euro thing... DSMs of same years r close to the same differences in Europe
Anyone know if a driver side window regulator would work on a JDM GTO

NA GTO was just GTO and GTO SR. TT versions where GTO TT and GTO TT MR. To tell if it's an MR then the vin starts with Z15A. NA GTO SR's also start with Z15A. The Z15A means no AWS. MR was light weight version of the TT. SR was the light weight version of the NA. There where also some "Special Versions" through out the years. And Police cars as well.
ntcmpjg - no such thing as a Euro MR. It was a JDM thing only. As far as I know all Euro modes were 3000GT TT [not VR-4]. Same as Australia and NZ. They were 3000GT TT. VR-4 was Nth & Sth America and Canada only.
thanks, joe. i thought i'd explained it, but you clarified it much better.
i know that the SR also had brake-upgrades and shizz similar to what the MR got...but there's so little we know about it.
Put the 280 cams and solid lifters back in.
Hey guys who sells transfer case seals and oil cooler washers besides 3sx??
Still hovering.
Actually every single GTO NA or TT had the same brakes. I believe that the NA models stayed with 1st gen brakes though after the TT models changed.
Does the 95/96 Stealth have AWS?
Also just to make things even more confusing there is actually a Z16A model called the "MR Special Version" [N/A Auto]. Also a TT model Z16A called an "Twin Turbo MR Special Version".
i have seen an SR with MR-style brakes. i don't know if it was stock, but i believe it was.
No such thing as MR style brakes. All had the same brakes. Was only 1st gen and 2nd gen. It's possible the ones you have are an option or aftermarket. I know apracing was an option on some models.
nice day. took it for a spin. :)

Dr, do you think it would be possible to convert that exhaust kit to a quad tip? Like shorten the lead pipes before the exhaust and add tips.
