Sick!
Fuck yea! Want a set, how much?
Let me finish them first... Damn Coyotes...LOL
yep. precisely what i need to do my garnish too. :)
Built a catch can this weekend. Trying something new by having 5/8" OD alum tube fixed in valve cover and catchcan and will just used 5/8" hose and hose clamps instead of AN fittings (I was tired of the AN swivel fittings getting sticky.) Bought a 5/8" tube bender just for this project:)

Engine bay is a bit of a mess right now, but should look somewhat tidy once it's all back together.
One vacuum source (The other vac source is the exhaust)....

Hung the pistons on rods last night. Hopefully have time this weekend to finish assembling the engine, time, degree, check piston to valve and re-time. Also need to pull the mock-up engine and trans so I can "build" the trans (upgrade clutches and shift kit).
Very cool. This build excites me. What did you do the welding with? Looks like a spool gun maybe.
Was actually a TIG. My fitment of panels wasn't great (angle grinder fab tool:D) so I had to glob on the filler to make sure it sealed up tight. The "stack of dimes" looked like it was stacked by my 3 year old, so I went over many of the seams with the torch to smooth it out. Catch can is not a structural piece, so wasn't concerned about reheating it. (Not even sure that's a concern with aluminum like it is with stainless.)
Bottom line, I'm not a pro welder that turns out the welding artwork that I drool over on the interwebs:) But, I built it and it should function they way I intend with vacuum being pulled by turbo and exhaust (moroso exhaust crankcase evac kit) ;). (BTW, when someone charges $100-200 for a catchcan, that's a steal. This thing took FOREVER to cut and weld all of the components inside and out!)
Agreed, when you start to fab you own parts you begin to see why prices are the way they on on a lot of things.
I got the clear coat on but I need to cut and polish it still. Been working on other things lately and giving the clear a chance to fully cure, which was like two days ago...LOL
