I watched Tangled. Great CGI. 7/10
Not true. The first one was spectacular. When I watched that movie, it was the first time since I was a kid that I lept to my feet and cheered - along with the rest of the cinema. Was it perfect? No. was there too much human involvement and not enough metalic carnage? Yes. Doesn't change the fact it was a ripping watch which brought out the child in most of us. (not you - you obviously have no soul)

Passionate. lol :nono:
reservoir dogs. still 8/10. and now i remember why i hate jonah hill. he's a chris penn clone.
Oblivion
7/10 I liked it but I didn't like it. I don't really know how I felt about it.
Cloud Atlas.
2/10 what the hell did I just watch and why.?
The Bag Man
9/10
I love John Cusack films and this one is just as good as his others. That movie had me guessing wth is going on the whole time lol. It was a good one. I suggest everyone check it out.
Wolf of Wallstreet
8 for comedy
10 for T&A
4 for Story line
2 for glorifying a true event
It got really long, and lost it's way mid-end. Editing could have improved it much.

you can't pay me to watch a tom cruise movie these days. not unless he's doing something like tropic thunder. :p
Why?....
I just saw Frozen with the kiddos. (blue ray)
It was pretty good as an overall movie. I was entertained by it and didn't find myself wanting to go make popcorn. Good kid movie for sure.
I also saw the movie Pitch Perfect.
I seriously laughed my ass off in that movie. Full blown musical that is pretty chic flic centric but holy hell, it's funny as can be! I think it's on HBO or Starz as I saw it on regular cable with the wife. I'd say sit down with the wife and a bowl of popcorn and enjoy this one, seriously funny.
Agreed on both of those Erron, my niece lved Frozen and I found it enjoyable. I do suggest watching the Frozen Censored on YouTube for some cheap laughs.
Have only caught parts f pitch perfect with my sister but still found it fairly entertaining at least from what I watched...plus Anna Kendrick is a babe.

300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE - meh, not as good as the first one.
I really liked Oblivion. There wasn't a lot of cast and it wasn't action packed. I thought it was a good movie.
As for Cloud Atlas, I believe they were always going to struggle converting that book to a movie. Have you seen The Tree of Life (Brad Pitt)? That is a terrible terrible something. Can't really call it a movie. It's just farking God awful. Even in fast forward I fell asleep. lol
Soul less SOB doesn't appreciate some Cruise action.
Days of Our Lives - Queen doco 10/10 What a great watch. I had seen it a while back and watched it again. IPD - You may even like this.

ok, you scientologist, l. ron hubbard buttfucker. cruise is a ncarissistic, egomaniacal tool. he may be a slightly above mediocre actor, but his personal behavior doesn't inspire me to ever fund his lifestyle by watching his movies.
so keep your snide comments to yourself, mr. roo-fucker. :p
haven't yet reliably figured out a completely worry-free method via which to DL movies/shows. music i got covered. :D
I get all my 1080p movies from yify
You know him personally, or believing the media reports which most members here seem to not like or believe? I can understand not buying in to a character in a movie but not liking someone because of what you hear seems silly.
As for the funding comment, you need stop being so dramatic princess. They are just movies and people are going to keep paying to see the shit that Hollywood puts out.
Scooter
and maybe THAT'S the biggest issue of all. we get infinite 3 musketeers remakes, zillions of romance comedies, etc. has anyone seen fit to make a movie out of "charlie and the great glass elevator"? or "restaurant at the end of the universe"? or "the magicians' nephew"? or the rest of the "oz" series?
yep.
p.s.
i'm mostly NOT interested in new movies. when it comes to music, i'm not going to just listen to the shite that hit the shelves in the last 9 months. so my interest in redtube is nil. plus, i'm in europe...so....
and fwiw, torrents are STILL illegal. how i get my music is not. i'm going to stay on the legal side of things...or at least via methods which will never render my records for prosecution. and now that VPN services are starting to side with the mpaa, etc, it's even worse. and it's become a downright pain trying to do torrents manually--by correctly identifying the one and only true feed & deleting all the bogus ones that only serve as trackers.
meanwhile, as long as it's on youtube, i has music. ;)
given the disaster that was the Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy I'd hate to see anyone demolish the restaurant at the end of the universe.
What? That is a brilliant movie. You hated it because?
Scooter
oh please. the 2005 version wasn't that bad. not nearly as bad as the other shit coming out in droves. yes i've read the book. yes i've seen both movies. maybe i'm alone in this, but i'd at least like to see someone TRY and make a movie out of it--rather than never get to see it brought to the big screen. as long as george lucas & michael bay aren't involved...it can't be that bad.
Eh, I thought that 05 version was sufficiently entertaining. Not the best thing I've ever seen, but not the worst either.
production, writing, cinematography, special effects(biggest fail), sound editing and pretty much every possible way a movie can be made. I tried to like it so hard since that was one of 3 books that I've actually read cover to cover and liked.
Spielberg could do good with it. I think something like this is right in his wheelhouse.
I'm struggling with your post so much so that I'm doubting we are talking about the same movie.... but we have to be. lol I loved the writing, sets, special effects. I thought the movie worked perfectly. I have only just started listening to the radio show which I'm finding pretty funny but haven't read the books.
Yeah, just like he did with War of the Worlds. Great movie with some poor acting (from the kid), fucking rubbish ending.
Scooter
I just watched Frozen. It was quite good & very entertaining.
I'm also a sucker for musicals (and subsequently Idina Menzel) & theatre.
On the note of how much singing was actually in the movie, it's only about 1/4 of the film (102 minutes):

Over 24 minutes of the film is dedicated to musical sequences.
i'm seriously wondering if echo is trollin' me now. come to think of it, spielberg hasn't really made a good movie since the 80's.
sketch - any reason your avatar is looking straight up at some dudes crotch? Kinda weird......
^T-bagged
no I thought it sucked. it's just a matter of opinion since there is no quantative measure of movie quality that's all we have. then again it could be because you're on the opposite side of the planet and like the toilets flowing backwards everything is opposite. so good movies suck and bad movies are good. :dontknow:
pretty much.Quote:

Saving Private Ryan and Schindlers List are 2 that imo aren't even up for debate on "goodness". I thought with the exception of the completely shit ending Super * was good. it had that old school 80's feel and while I thought the general premise of "Cowboys and Aliens" was stupid it was entertaining for what it was and had great production value. granted he's usually just a producer these days his influence shows through.
