Today I got ambitious and removed ALL of the wiring for; ECS, ABS, SRS, power seats, rear wiper/reservoir, rear defrost, Active Aero, tunable exhaust, pulled out the old alarm unit, stripped the interior out, and started on the engine bay prep work. Very productive day!

Yesterday I cleaned the exterior of the Stealth, it had gotten very dusty since I never put the cover back on it after I had my windshield replaced because the cover itself was pretty dirty and I'd planned on washing it.
Wiped it down and then went to start it up... and my MAFT, is blinking a red light at me... NOT normal. Never seen it do that before. Check engine light comes on, goes off, comes on, goes off, sporadically. Letting it idle, the car eventually dies. I say screw it and decide to work on it tomorrow morning.
Wake up today and try to figure out what's wrong with it. I track it down to a very corroded power wire going to my fuel pump relay, it was probably only intermittently getting voltage to the pump. So I replaced that, and the car started up and I ran it around town a bit.
However, I think I need to add some coolant, because the temp gauge would rise pretty quickly when sitting at a stop. Granted, it's 103 here today, but I think it must be low, car actually stalled when going uphill into the garage, and wouldn't start back up until the temp had decreased a bit.
Parked mine on the driveway and covered it with an original cover. Cut open the bag and used the cable lock for the first time since she'll be sitting there for a couple of weeks while I finish up my wiring project on the BMW.
Bought her new presents....
99 lifters in the TT and oil changes for both of them
Took out the 280 cams and installed the stock cams. Fuck I'm pissed!:confused2: she wouldn't stay timed with the regrind cams and solid lifters for some reason.

Painted coil pack and ptu brackets. New screws, lock rings and washers for the coils and ptu. They're all the same size so this was easy. Need to dig through my stuff or buy new bolts for the brackets still.

Had another member check out my oil leak while I'm down from surgery n found cam seal #4 leaking baaaad. Got it replaced. No leaks now. N replaced oil sender while there. It was caked in oil.

The inlet and outlet couplers on my FMIC were leaking. They're maybe 2 ply at best and insufficient which I'm surprised the previous owner left them on. I didn't have any 2.75" couplers just 3" from other FMICs so I just slipped the 2.75" inside the 3" and clamped everything on until I order some better 2.75" couplers. It seems to be working fine.
I took the Stealth to the car wash and after I was done pulling out of the parking lot not even getting on it maybe 1/4 throttle or less the car gets sideways and I'm going down the street this way probably 12 mph. It felt really weird and took me a couple seconds to realize what was going on even though I automatically started correcting the wheel. I'm used to powering through a corner with heavy throttle and the back end kicked out but not this. Lol. Damn all season tires. I guess they don't like the water. I have some high performance summer tires in the basement just need to get a different set of 18s for them.
never had that problem with all-seasons. maybe you need wider tires?
Installed MAF Translator GEN-II last night. Might do some tuning today.
Fixed a coolant leak in my stealth also adjusted my ignition timing and biss.
Summer performance tires aren't going to do any better when wet. And for what its worth, I run all seasons year round with no issues.Quote:

Found Leak in radiator, fan rubbed a hole into it... (giggity) fixed it temporarily till i can install new radiator.

Don't know why, I just don't like that 90deg. coupler that comes with the ETS kit. Seems like it would blow off, but what do I know.
I've never heard anyone complain about it, so it must be fine.
Not once had an issue, but I am only spiking to 18lbs. Vr4Tune has the same running to 21lbs with no issue...
The more the think of it the more it makes sense. It's hard to get an exact 90deg. bend with large diameter thin wall tubing, this way they can keep the pipe where they want it and still connect to the tb.
