...may sound odd, but the idea is 7.62 rounds in 5.56 mags :D
but the 4.6 isn't a shoehorned round. it was specifically made for the mp7. and the smaller size means less muzzle lift, meaning more bullets hit the target. that...and it's amazingly effective on body armor.
