I was trying to finish up the wax job on the Stealth when one of South Floridas daily afternoon thunderstorms rolled in. Just got everything put away and the Stealth back in the garage before the sky opened up. Still have to do the back bumper tomorrow, then plastic wrap and tape the car up for the trip.
So I bought one of 3sx "custom chrome billet oil caps", which I got for $4.95 since I had a $20 GC for ride of the month... needless to say I would have been pissed if I planned on using this "as-is" because it was gouged. But I had other plans for it. Let me tell you, I hate working with billet aluminum, it is a much denser material versus cast. Took me the better part of four hours of grinding/sanding to get to a "flat" surface. Anybody want to guess what's going on top :suspect:? I'll update once the other piece comes in. I still need to drill and tap a hole for a larger bolt than what came on it.
