dang, are the stock fuel map values right? I figured the actual afr's would be a little leaner than the map says, but after about 5500 it actually goes to 10:1.
I wanted to check with your guys to make sure there isn't anything else going on before I change the fuel map. It seems about dead on. At 5300 RPM at 161 load it is 10.4:1 afr, which is exactly what the map says.
Is it tail pipe afr from the dyno then?
No they aren't "right" in the sense that you're thinking they should be. The values you see aren't actually any AFR, it's hex code the ecu uses in its IPW calculations translated into a value that makes sense to you and I as users.
In my experience, the fuel table is generally a little leaner than what you actually end up getting.
I watched the videos you posted, so I know that they don't directly translate to afrs, I was just wondering what people's experience with observed afr's vs the map was with properly dialed in injectors, maf tables, and no boost leaks.
I thought that the evo's guys tables were actually richer than what the observed afr was, that is what I wanted to double check before I start changing the fuel tables.
Thanks for the info, very helpful. That is crazy that the car's stock are basically setup to run flat 10s or even in the 9.x afr area, I knew they were rich, but I was thinking they were closer to 10.5:1.
