I wonder if my 99 VR4 has an after market antenna motor , the mast was sticking up and I got a new antenna mast to fix it but this new mast doesnt fit in the hole either. This motor looks different then the other motors I did. Does anybody know id the 99 has a different motor?
Changed the oil and topped off the trans fluid. Just have to detail it before the NG trip.
I added another part to the already large parts pile...
An RPS Street Max PP from the Ninja...Should be a good system to use once I have everything back together.
I just replaced mine not to long ago on the '99. If you post up a picture I can tell you if they look the same or not. I haven't seen one from previous years so I don't know for sure.Quote:

I know mine was jacked up, after I pulled out the broken mast the plastic broke off inside of it, I had to open up the motor and clean the broken pieces out of the gearing. After I did that the new one went in perfectly like the manual had shown.

edit: You are removing the top pieces first correct? Otherwise the mast will not fit.
Changed the oil yesterday and installed the 3SX single pass radiator today. then on the test drive the harmonic balancer came apart (I knew it needed to be replaced and it was on my list of things to do just hadnt bought a new one yet). thankfully I was only 4 miles from home so I made it back to the garage fine.
Removed calipers to try to sell them.
