Installed a new aluminum radiator today along with some Mishimoto silicone hoses. Took a pic of the tiny stock fwd radiator next to the new one, Its crazy that it is almost 4 or 5 times thicker than stock.

Hopefully this will help the car run better, the awd makes the N/a engine work hard haha.
I put my Montana plates on the 99 Vr4 and I put a new 6 speed shift knob on the VR4 and I started to change out the antenna mast but the old one wont budge. I searched and found a thread that stated to use brut force lol. I guess the other 3 times I have been luck as it came out easy. damn northern car.

Ive installed a few of those thicker aluminum radiators on customer cars....haven't seen any real benefit besides more coolant capacity. Are there other benefits? The fitment is always super TIGHT...and those condenser bolts...ugh...always a pain...which is the reason why I haven't replaced mine yet...
You just about need one with a front mount. My car pretty much stays right at thermostat temp now. I ground down the condensor studs to the nut.Quote:

edit: Setup is Koyo radiator with two OEM slim fans set to come on through Chrome ECU at 180 vs stock 210.
Where is that fan setting located? Which table.
