Dear Granny,

My 8 month old son woke me up this morning at 6:30am. He was sitting up in his cot calling out dad dad dad... [or his shortened variation of it :p] He knows that I'm the one who picks him up and looks after him in the mornings. How old where your kids when they first started talking?

It sounds like your little man is well on his way to being a chatter box. :)

It's been too long for me to remember but I do recall the wise words of my Granny when my son was a baby.
"Yea...you can't wait for them to start walking and talking....and before you know it you wish they would sit down and shut up."

It's a concept a little hard to visiuallize when they are so cute but one day you'll remember me telling you this.

I think it's great you're so involved in your sons care. Keep up the good work and please share more of his accomplishments. No better place to talk about your children then a "Dear Granny" thread. :bigthumb:
