IIRC what happened with mine was the lower perch is not welded, it has a slot that slips onto a bulge on the shock body. On the new struts the base perch was not seated all the way for some reason. It was 2 years ago, so a bit foggy memory.

I mowed around my Stealth. :p
I was going to talk to the landlord today when I saw him out mowing his neighboring properties about adding more gravel to make the driveway wider and longer so I could get the Stealth out of the grass but he took off before I could get to him.
That is my next goal with the car though, to get it out of the grass and onto more solid ground then maybe I can start doing other stuff to it once stress levels start to cease since the new job starts Monday.
Yup, like I said it has been some time since I did them. It is the rear strut perch I was thinking of after running out to look.
Are the rear springs green as well? I have a 3 finger gap all the way around on mine with the rear being maybe a little tighter, but minimal.
yup, green springs all the way around. I have double checked everything so I think thats just the way mine is going to sit. I actually took a tape measure to them earlier and the fronts were just a hair over 2" gap and the backs just a hair under 2" gap. Im happy with the way it sits and its definitely a nice drop from the stock 4x4 height.
If you're happy that's all that matters. My gaps are smaller because Spyder weight and also because taller 255/40/18 tires.
I know I don't post on here often, but finally got some heads in so I can rebuild my vr4 but then the day got worse. Got a lovely text saying that while putting down the top on the spyder the rear window shattered. :grumpy::mad-new: Anyone know where I can get the glass? I know they're not easy to find.
Not sure, call a glass service and/or your body shop guy
Gave the Stealth engine bay just a little post winter loving....
Then washed it....
Wife put the insurance back on the Spyder, so I can yank it out of its hibernation....
That's all.....
Bob. :)
