I've never seen such a fuss over $50. As kid a I had always hoped pedantic arguments like this would cease into adulthood. Regardless of what anyone thinks is right, this thread and drama isn't even worth $50. :/

hell, i would almost pay the registration fee NOT to attend--just on the outside chance that the NG will be around next year so i could try attending (assuming my job doesn't preclude it yet again.) yes, that's right. i would pay the attendance fee for a gathering i'm unable to attend--just because i want it to be around when i AM able to attend.
