Its been disputed. I just want to get the car back so I can take the rental back. I'll see what I can get moving from there.

I know exactly what the issue is. The other driver also had State Farm so State Farm is paying out no matter what. Had the other driver had anyone else I could let State Farm go after them for the loss of the bumper. State Farm wont go after itself.
My girlfriend warned me they would try to screw me around because of this. I'll still see what I can get done. If I have to I will talk to my agent to see if he can help.
I've had State Farm for over 40 years and they've always seemed to treat me well on claims, and believe me I've had a few. Most claims never involved other Insurance Companies and were either Uninsured Motorist or Comp claims.
Just read this thread.
Thank God you're not here in PR... The guy would've just left you with a free wierd compass-tube-measurement thingy.... THAT would've sucked...
Just read this too. Man that sucks bigtime, good thing the guy stopped. If you were here in B.C. chances are they would've pissed off on you. When I had my Talon I was following an old rusted out Dodge diesel at a respectable distance at night with somewhat dirty headlights (Going to wash the car for that matter). Outa nowhere I see a HUGE mass of sparks on the road just ahead of me, but by the time I caught it it was too late, I see my oil pressure dummy light flip on... FFFFUUUUUU! So I pull over and assess the damage, the guy litterally stopped in the middle of the highway about 200 feet ahead of me, then just drove away as I started walking toward him... WTF! I assume he wanted the 6 feet of 4" exhaust that was hung up under my car, but changed his mind after seeing the smoke bellowing out from under my hood... After he took off I blew my hissy fit and looked under the car a worked the exhaust out (Was a royal pain in the ass). The bottom of my oil pan looked like a tuna can peeled open, my oil filter was pretty well ripped off, the bottom of my valance was dragging on the ground, and there was a good sized dent in the rocker panel just behind the passengers front tire. I wasn't a happy camper when I went to my insurance provider either, I pretty well got told to look where I was going...
Hope you get everything worked out man.
Jordan.
Just thought I should update everyone. I finally was cut a check from insurance. I guess my bitching about them not wanting to pay for the front bumper paid off. They cut me a check for $920.10 and I got it last week.
I put it in savings since the car is drivable as is. I'm going to end up using that money as well as money from the sale of a 92 RT and my tax refund to pick up a newer car so I can park the Stealth for now.
Glad to hear it all worked out.
