IMO a perfectly fair question.
And a good time to ask is in the beginning. That's a major point of this section. At least I'd think so.

The largest problem with posting these images either in the post or in a PM is that they are now on the server. If chmod on that upload folder is not set correctly and the spider file is to created properly then you have a huge security risk on your hands. if a spider where to crawl the site and index that folder then all of those DL and Bill images would now be available on the web. Google caches all of there images for 24 hours which is more than enough time for that information to get out where it doesn't need to be.
Some other method needs to be established to verify members as uploading images of sensitive material is not safe!
Sorry to through a rock into the new machine Alan.
Like I mentioned in another thread, the verification delay on 3si was way worse. I don't know how it was when you guys were getting verified, but a few months back when I finally bothered, it was terrible. No communication at all. I don't know if that was the norm, or I was an oddity because nobody felt like dealing with me, but it was unsettling.
i pm'd alan. hopefully he's got what he needs. i REALLY don't want to have to continue selling shit on 3si.
Cmon man, been all day now. about 11 hours. Still no verification. :(

Do what we have on another forum, Minimum post rule. You need 100 posts minimum to be able to "Sell" things but not buy.
This means no randoms can sign up and start flogging shit off, and in there posts you get an idea on weather or not they are serious about the platform, or just here to flog crap off and run away
I will not be giving personal information to anyone on the internet as i am part of another car forum, have almost 16,000K posts over 5 years and have never ripped anyone off in my life. In this day and age it's just too risky. Who knows if Alans account gets hacked into somehow and our information stolen? Hmmmm...
