Part of me misses those 14b days and part of me much prefers the casual approach I've got today. My car is certainly better put together now than it ever has been. I'm currently in the middle of setting up a logger. TMO would be worst case... logging 6 parameters, it only mustered 4.5 hz. When I get back home, I will buy the ftdi usb to serial cable I need to make evoscan work. I intend to dyno around the 30th.

I laugh every time I look at my street wheels and tires. I'm hoping to get some reasonable wheels in 2013... along with the 3.5 6g72, it will be like a whole new car.

I have the interior seat photo as my work machines lock screen background. Gives me inspiration.

I love the subtle cage set up.

How do you have those seats mounted if you don't mind me asking? I would love to get some cheapy racing seats but can't figure out how to mount them low enough and still have sliders...

The pass seat is the corbeau bracket and slider only mildly modified to fit better. To get the driver seat low enough required extensive modification and no sliders.

How much lower than stock is that Adam? Looks a lot lower than the passenger seat!

Old ECU/monitoring setup: Hilariously simple

TurboBob 8030 rpm '93 ECU
GReddy e-manage blue
Scanmaster 3
GReddy P/H Boost, EGT;
AEM WBO2 (3.5mm jack to Scanmaster)

I never reviewed a log with this setup :eh:



ECU/monitoring/logging setup Today:

TurboBob 8030 rpm ECU
GReddy e-manage blue
Scanmaster 3 (RJ11 cable into RJ11>Serial Adapter into Serial>USB Adapter with FTDI chip into USB port @ Laptop)
AEM WBO2 (0-5V signal to EGR-T)
EvoScan v2.9 (WBO2 in place of EGR Temp*); no boost logging
GReddy P/H Boost, P/H EGT

*EGRT misc info:
The ECU expects a 0-5V signal @ pin 53 for EGR Temperature (91-93 ECU) and it outputs a 0-255 value at the diagnostic port (per cbatters on 3Si ~2002 IIRC).
The AEM UEGO WBO2 outputs a 0-4.25V signal corresponding to 10-18:5 AFR, per the AEM manual.

A few minutes in excel later...

y = 0.03921569*x+10
"x" = EGRT output value; "y" = AFR*

This is the formula you need to put into the set-up on the evoscan (see below).

To do in the future:
Determine why logged A:F differs from gauge value by ~0.4

Use EGRT port for boost logging and use the serial output (blue wire) from the AEM WBO2 to go directly into the serial port on my laptop.
