-pick up new oil drain plug and install (will have to run without oil temp gauge until adapters come)/.finish oil change
-clamp catback exhaust to adapter flange and bolt to downpipe
-hook up negative battery cable
-Wait for AEM to come back after repair and calibrate widebands/plug in, set base timing, TUNE.

Tore down 2 trannys and cleaned and resealed them after putting in new OS's. bolted up the new tranny, deleted the clutch booster, put in a mechanical clutch master cylinder, pulled some vac hoses not needed anymore. Bolted the brakes back up, installed the billet tcase and DS. Just need to bleed the brakes, and clutch. Bought a new shorty intake manifold and will have that going in on wed! Have a bew UP racing short throw shifter coming in next week also. So much done!!
This came in the mail today.

Thanks to Rakuny for powdercoating and sourcing the new shiny hardware hiding in the background.
got about 20 mins of run time on her today. started making some valvetrain fuss. shit, time to go back in and adjust them solid lifters!!! should be fun.
guys dont get them. nothing but headaches.
Installed new tie rod ends
Dropped the SL at the detail shop. The Spyder is still on jack stands.
oddly enough, when I pulled my dash my windshield never fogs up in the rain anymore.
nice little gauge cluster you got there :) how do you replace the handbrake, anyway? do you just slip that over the top?
how you tried putting anything over microphone hole to keep the sound from clipping? I heard a band-aid works well to kill wind noise.
Guessing this is actually referred to me. Yea, does the job, lol. Handbrake handle slips over and is secured with allen set screws. It's for an EVO, was a gift at MOD, as was that oil temp gauge that replaces the drain plug.
The microphone has adjustable gain, I turned it down some for the racing shots, and I think it did the trick considering it didn't clip with open O2 dumps. I haven't run it at high speeds yet so I don't know how much wind it'll pick up in various locations.
I started it last night, tuning tonight.
drove the car today again after switching the the evo 9 bov. Part throttle driveability seems improved. I keep expecting the car to stutter, not idle right, etc, and instead it runs fine.
Going to take a while to stop waiting for the thing to blow up or die. 50 miles on the rebuild
The walbros bulbous end is about the same size as the denso, im using a modified stock hangar with bulkhead fittings and a worm clamp, nothing special, you just need to lower one pump in first, then the rest of the assembly, then pull thr pump up and tighten it on the AN fitting and crank the worm clamp tight enough to move the pumps far enough away from the floater arm. And then drop in the half lowered assembly and your done! Tricky, but not impossible with a lil patience, it fit a lot easier than i thought it was going to
going to go look at some recaros from an evo 8 today...

Tuning today.
Stalker!
Street tuning the fail safe pump gas map, probably dial it in to around the 320ish land on virtual dyno then call it good enough. Then we switch over to E-85 and go for whatever the little 9b's can make. I'll be enrolling a dyno for the last little bit on that setup.
Can't do the E-85 until another wideband sensor shows up. My rear one showed up DOA, so I can only get the front dialed in. Gives me time to run a tank of gas or two thru the setup on pump.
Both banks should be close enough, but I want to ensure that last little 2% of accuracy when I am really pushing the setup. Pump gas and roughing in the E-85 map, eh....not to worried.
didn't buy the recaros, the yard stored em crappy.
picking up a different set sunday tho!
Finally got my intake pipes/FMIC fitted with the stock bubble. I am pretty sure I am going to still pull the rear intake pipe, and cut some off to fix the angle of the MAF/Filter. Just need my flashable ECU and we may be in business after the cob web cleaning.

what filter number is that, similar to mine:

9b's can make 20psi in 5th gear on a roll on....time to turn that down as this is the fail safe pump gas map.
only 3/4 tank to go and its E-85 time, new wideband sensor is in house!
niterydr - I thought you where going the DR7xx route.... or am I confusing you with someone else? However I think it would be nice to know what the little 9b's are capable of on e85.
Pulled mine off the road today, I'm finally biting the bullet and starting on my twin GT-35R build!
Good lord. Twin 35rs. That's what's up.
I took mine on scrap metal run today. After I unloaded my SL only weighed 3140lbs with me in it. Full interior, and half tank of gas

clutch won't disengage. clutch fork moves fully, so it's not related to the hydraulics. i'm thinking the clutch fused itself (how? i was driving to a chick-fil-a) or TOB shattered. I did notice there's no TOB noise anymore, and it's usually loud as a MOFO.
Even tho its on a tow truck....so sexy
