Bob, You picked up a Spyder this year - is the motor with Pampena yet :suspect: Yeah these things take time but worth it!!!

Yeppers.....actually bought too many Go Fast parts for it than I originally planned. I was originally going to just build a stock motor and put the stroker motor from my '97 in the Spyder and put the stock one in the '97 and sell it. Winters here so I got lots of time to figure this out.
Charged up the AC with a second bottle of freon. She really blows COLD now.

Nice new AC valve caps :)

Returned the engine hoist the day after Christmas and passed emission testing the next day. She had 88 Hydrocarbons with a limit of 100 so barely passed. I still plan to go over the Clone ECU wiring to see if the EGR stuff is even wired up. I wonder if the reason I barely passed is because the cats were plugged up and couldn't be very efficient.
Pulled out the old downpipe and found a whole lot of chunks melted on the main cat. Then pulled off the front precat to find the secondary O2 sensor disintegrated and half of the front precat was melted. Too lean!! I was able to pry out the damage on the main cat so it is salvageable. It's coming out for a test pipe.

Stock F downpipe compared to IPS shorty and test pipe. BTW those smaller gaskets don't fit at all.

Attempted to just hook up the O2 sensors and wideband O2 and install the pipe. It was not to be that simple. I had to remove the rear secondary and also loosen the front O2 housing, and pry the downpipe in place. Not quite a perfect fit but at least nothing had to be ground or bent to make it fit.

Here's the DP mounted up finally and wideband is installed.

Next up is the front splitter. This thing is actually very well made and even includes reinforced plated on both top and bottom for the jacking point. It mounts up with all the stock shoulder bumper bolts just fine. It also attaches to the left and right members and I used some big washers there on the 12mm bolts. Much less hardware than the cheap plastic panels and I can still get my Pittsburgh low profile jack under the reinforced jacking point although I can no longer use the hockey puck spacer. Ground clearance is about 6 inches with my Tein S-Tech springs on ECS shocks.

Next up will be dialing in the AFR which I'm sure to need help with.
I never get tired of looking at your progress!!!!
Awesome stuff Jim :)
Bob.
My God, what a car, Jim.
One of the very best. :)
Absolutely mint. Looks like a better version of a brand new car!
Awesome stuff! Love my splitter as well.
So clean Jim!!

I took it for a spin yesterday with the Tactrix 2.0 logger running but for some reason I'm getting wrong AFR readings in the hundreds. I probably don't have scaling setup properly on that. But the low and mid trims look great. I'm going to take another run soon with the laptop running and compare notes.
The exhaust is deeper and louder now and I can hear the turbos spool. The car has SO much more power than before it's ridiculous. But it still cruises around just like stock with absolutely no drive-ability issues. I have about 350 miles to go on the break-in and it will be extremely difficult to keep my foot out of it during that time. Wastegate pressure is set to about 12 psi and I'm sure I must have 300WHP by then.
I have to figure out where to get Virtual Dyno and how to set it up and use it. Once I get a basic tune I'll be working on the BAP setup for the fuel pump voltage. I hope to take the car to FSR in the summer and dial in a 91 and 100 tune.
