And flopping has been happening in the NBA for awhile, and the NBA is doing something about it by fining or possibly suspending players.
The NHL started calling unsportsmanlike conduct for floppers several years ago too.
i also expect FIFA will be clamping down on it. they've stiff-armed instant-replays about as long as they could. pretty bad goal-line calls have forced a transition to cameras. tancredi trying to give lloyd a cleat-makeover during the olympics (and lady andrade trying to rearrange wambach's face) will almost certainly lead to harsher penalties.
still....there's a world of difference (and excitement) between mens and women's soccer.
