boosted you going 2g stealth r/t rear? that'll look pimp!
Needed to do some business at my friends shop, so I took it for a spin. Car would not start when it was time to go home. Left it there over night. Narrowed it down to fuel pump. Today hoping to bring her home.
Took my street car to Bandimere Speedway yesterday. Was my first time on a legal 1/4 mile strip in a loong time. I cracked off six passes till I got booted. Last respectable pass was 11.6 @ 125mph with a 1.7 60' at 27psi. Bandimere Speedway Track Station. The following pass I cranked the boost up 3lbs to 30 psi and damn near torque steered into the wall. I got flagged at the punch card checkin for a breakout reinspect and failed for 3 reasons; No driveshaft loop on a slick tired vehicle, missing battery breaker, missing certification sticker on my helmet.
Pretty happy see as my first pass was a 14.xx with a 2.8 60' :p. I will go back when I fix those items.
One piece carbon fiber DS on this setup and a BFG R1's. Apparently anything running faster than 13.99 on slicks requires a driveshaft loop according to NHRA revised rules. Chief tech official said they let me slide till I started bangin out mid 11's and they checked my bracket card. When I tech'd in I bracketed for 14's. All they checked was my seatbelts. :p. Battery is in the trunk with a quick disconnect, in a vented box, with a Taylor hold down. Apparently they want a secondary breaker and disconnect?
Do NHRA and IHRA rules on DS loops vary? I was under the impression carrier bearings were good enough. Some googling leads me to believe otherwise. Ha, I love my track.
The grief they're giving you over the battery is because it's relocated.
