I've seen that once or twice when my car sits for 4 or 5 days then takes a few cranks to start. It seems to be tied to the unit powering on when the key gets to ACC and getting "stuck" in the init loop when the car starts too slowly (going from ACC to IGN causes the unit and/or ECU to re-initialize). It's only happened once or twice and I daily drive the car for the last year, so it's not been much of an issue.Quote:

Any recommendations for cables from the OBDI port to the unit? My ethernet to DB9 actually melted slightly in the sun last summer and now it's getting really annoying having the connection go in and out.
I now produce custom OBD1 cables that only work for this lcd boostcontroller device. It has a real Mitsu OBD1 plug and keeps the ABS light from turning on. If you want to use this custom cable outside of the lcd boostcontroller you'll have to short two pins, as the lcd boostcontroller does this internally (that's where the magic of not having ABS light come on... :) ). I could support reading the Evo X 3bar map sensor from the ECU, but this will hurt ECU datalogging speed. Whenever you add another item to datalog, it impacts the overall sampling speed for all. For example, if you were communicating to the ECU for Knock and RPM data, and then add in "Read Evo X boost" it would reduce the sampling speed by 33% for Knock and RPM.Quote:
