Bad VCU makes it FWD, since the VCU is what transfers power to the rear.Quote:

VCU transfers both ways, at least I think... but usually the fronts spin first because you load more weight transfer on the back when launching.

Sprouted an oil leak. Front turbo feed at the banjo bolt. Hopefully just needs new crush washers.
changed my transmission oil , switched to redline 75w-85 from synchromesh
Just curious. did you dislike the synchromesh? Any problems with it or did it work well for you? I heard some people love it, others hate it. And it is the cheapest i've seen pricewise.Quote:

I ran Synchromesh in my old 18 spline, lessened the frequency of 3rd gear grind and made it a bit less notchy than before. Going to run it in my new-to-me 25 spline for a little while, will probably end up going with Redline though if there's no grinds.Quote:

If you do run synchromesh just make sure you change it pretty often. A lot of people like to put transmission fluid in and just forget it.
