I was giving a co-working a ride this morning and hammered it in 1st and it shot up and hit the rev limiting so hard I must've fouled a plug. It ran rough for about a minute and smoothed out.
So, at lunch I thought I better go do a 2nd gear pull to be sure the motor isn't hurt. It takes off absolutely like a bat out of hell and pulls clean. I did another run and tried to watch the boost gauge and it went up to 25 PSI and settled around 24 or so.
I checked the logs and afr's are great with no knock. I was going to go a little slower up to this much boost, but I guess I'm already there.
I hit 193 peak load on my 427AWHP virtual dyno and today hit 259 and this is only in 2nd. This turbos spool so fast it doesn't seem to make a difference, so it is great to get the tune close just using 2nd.
A rolling start in 2nd feels like a huge launch used to.
