Granny your hunger issue all day could be from a lack of protein, maybe try an egg sandwich with cheese and a glass of juice? Or egg whites and salsa.

Your body is used to a specific amount of food. Any reduction in what you eat will make you feel hungry until your body adjusts. This can take several days or even weeks.
To combat the hunger plan pre portioned healthy snacks. If you try and fight through the hunger you will probably just end up eating more when you finally do eat.
While things like the 100cal packs are tempting, while lo-cal you are not teaching yourself to eat right.
Some of the snacks I eat:
Apple with peanut butter(all our peanut butter is home made and has no sugar is it)
orange and 2 pieces of string cheese
1 cp fruit salad and 2 pieces of string cheese
Cheese and multigrain crackers (12ish)
Crackers and PB&J (low-sugar jelly)
Multigrain chips and Salsa (stop eating chips when the salsa runs out and pile the salsa on the chips ;))
I eat when I am hungry. I try not to abide by 'mealtimes', but allow for some leeway. If I am not hungry at 8, when I wake up, I wait until I am. But I ALWAYS eat breakfast. It keeps me from overeating throughout the day. And my I try to have protein at breakfast, so that it stays with me.
Sorry that your gym closed, Alan. That blows. Hopefully you will find another one that suits you and Lori soon.
well, odd stuff here, I'm not loosing weight...and my body fat according to my scales is not changing from 22-23%....but all my measurements are slowly going down :) I've always felt it's a good idea to have breakfast as in theory it kicks your metabolism off, you just don't have to eat much and as per usual you'd want it healthy... I found the always feeling hungry thing was fairly well resolved with lots of water + apples and banana's every so often.
I've not really changed my diet much, honestly we (GF & I) did not feel that we were eating that badly before, now though as opposed to eating fast food/take away say 6 times a week we're down to once, and the take away we have is healthier, as opposed to having salted nuts and sugar laden snacks we now have a full fruit bowl that has loads of Avocado/Banana/Apple/Mandarin's etc, Cheese is now 90% cut out of our meals
ran my first 5 K today, ran every bit of it at 28:17 !! pretty good i think , the longest i have ever run.
ive lined up at least two more 5k's in the next two months , time to start running more haha. was told if i can get the time down to 25 minutes or so it would be pretty average. im really happy with my self 15 weeks ago or so i was 265 or so, im 236 now . 5 weeks ago i was barely running 1.4 miles walking about .3 of it at the begining .
Very encouraging. I'm just trying to get up to a mile without needing my inhaler!!!
i hear ya , the area i usually run is a nice bike path around a lake here . and even in mild temp 90degrees or so running aorund all that plant life makes it ten times more humid and lung irritating that i feel like i need mine.
