Broke out the flux core, cut and re-welded my 3sx td05 downpipe to fit the 3.0. Fits better than it ever did! Car is quiet again.
Unfortunately the front header flange to head is leaking. I had asked 3sx if they could still get the composite gaskets that came with the kit but they couldn't. Used a mls, but no bueno. Guess it's time to pull it and get it flattened...again.
Idling good. Dialing in the vac fueling. No boost runs yet. Weird bucking with light throttle and light load and AEM log shows erratic vehicle speed. Adding more fuel there, but Maybe speed sensor going out??
Sounds very familiar. My built 4g63 ate a valve, so I have a stock shortblock in my Dsm for a while. I put it together and drove it, I couldn't figure out what happened to my tune. Idle was fine , but I couldn't rev past 6000, the car was rich while driving, and no power at all, even at 30psi. Well, my vss was not plugged in. I was driving around on my antilag settings. Under 5 mph I run -10* at greater than 35% tps, and 15% fuel enrichment.Quote:

All I did was unbolt it from the manifold and pry it away GENTLY with a VERY SMALL screwdriver....

Replaced front turbo, installed replacement rear turbo...learned there are different sets of 9B's as seen here. Would not fit into my Turbine housing...so as oppose to pulling the rear manifold and pre cat and turbine housing and all that shit and adding like 4 days worth of work...
I just rebuilt my old one. (with GENUINE Mitsubishi parts from that "shitty" ebay company called Kinugawa, AN Oil lines on the way from them too!)

Other things that went wrong...
*ebay downpipe that previously lined up perfectly, decided not to line up AT ALL. dropped it, reinstalled it, had manhandle the rear turbo flange with a big ass pry bar and scissor jack from under the car....
*Everytime I blinked or thought about moving something fell....
*Front Turbo I received had a bolt broke off in the Turbine housing, that was half the fucking reason I said fuck it and bought different snails in the first place!! Thanks Will!
*Broke a total of 5 bolts off in the original turbo's turbine housing when I was removing it...

Except for Alternator, A/C compressor, Belt, and Oil Feed lines...
Oil feed lines should be here later in the week...
I pulled too much fuel vs the 3.5 tune so I'm adding some back in and curve is a lot different with the cams. It was sometimes a little lean when it bucked around but not always. Only thing funky on the logs was vehicle speed would shoot up and down during the bucking. Will try it out again today with more fuel but may just need a new sensor, since mine is plugged in:)Quote:

Bought some turbos. HKS 3037s with .73 rear housings. It's going to be a while before i bolt them on as i want to do everything in one hit.
