Took the TT out for the first drive of the year, or shakedown at least.
ABS delete, SS brake & clutch lines, rebuilt both master cyl., pulled the motor & trans to repair 3rd syncro & a couple minor leaks on the top end. All new factory hoses.
Made some SS intake pipes & gave it a new look under the hood-
It's alllll good:bigthumb:- what an absolute fuckin treat to get behind the wheel again! Now how am I gonna get any work done in my shop?

These cars are such a blast.
Few more days and mine will be alive again... idk how these people keep their sanity with broken 3/ss for months or longer. Its been a week and im goin nuts. I just want to drive.
ECS wasn't working, the sport/tour light on the dash was flashing, very enoying so I pulled the plugs on the ECS.
Pulled the stock stereo and put in a new Pioneer CD player, $89 + tax at Best Buy. Took about an hour because the wire coloring were diff. Now I got music!
However, my dash light is not working...I'll check all the fuses tomorrow. Drove to work without the dash light, no clue how fast I was going, kinda scary. I work night shift.
More details on that piece between the plenum and front valve cover please. Car is GOR-GE-OUS!!Quote:

If all of your dash lights are out then your parking lights/taillights are out too. You probably blew a fuse when you installed your stereo.Quote:

Funny, I don't recall having even seen one of those 74 covers-
I made it from scratch from .100 aluminum @ whatever fit the best.
I was going to do a GTO script for the venting, but I had a bit of work into it with forming & tigging the ends & figured the slots were a safer bet. I retained the loom 'box' for the insulating value, just lathed some spacers for the bolts. The SS woven screen I had kicking around & bonded it underneath with some super-duper marine sealer/adhesive I use in my shop.
Just stuck with the brush finish.

Afr can use a little leaning out and smoothing in places, but keep in mind the chart really exaggerates .2 or .3 afr changes. The boost logging I have setup seems to be about 2 psi lower than my defi gauge. I'm waiting on some parts to work on raising the boost (a lot)
The car is a lot of fun and torque is everywhere.

Also the harness cover on the left side of the plenum. I'm mounting my homemade resistor pack there and would be interested in something larger like this. It's zipties for now, lol
