Um, no.
This is precisely the point. We're not talking about a no-huddle offense. We're talking about a play which may require a substitution. So while a no-huddle can confuse a defense that's trying to read the play, the offensive-side is still a known quantity. Playing musical chairs with who is eligible and who is not--is trying to DELIBERATELY force the defenders to have the incorrect players on the field..or at the very least, have them lined up wrong. So it's even worse than a hurry-up offensive play just to try and pull a 12th man penalty; it's saying "we are going to bend every rule in the book that we can think of--and force the league to either change the rules, or let us play dirty.
Same BS with the Tuck Rule. Now if we really wanna even things out--then let's eliminate free-substitutions. Then there's no worry. 2 substitutions per half, and no extra subs for injuries. Maybe people will also stop playing like lunatics and getting permanent brain-injuries in the process.
The only people who think this is a total fabrication of an issue are NE/TB/Bellicheat nutswingers. Yes, they got away with it this week. Fine. In my book, that's even more pathetic than the Saints deciding to do nothing but onside kicks for the entire 2nd half of the SB....but I digress. At least you should EXPECT an onside kick on special teams. Musical-receivers is just BS that Bellicheat invented because he believed he can get away with it--and he did. Bellicheat doesn't believe the rules apply to himself, and that's how he got caught cheating in the first place.
