help me choose a new DD!

Camry SE V6. Sporty looking, 4 doors for practicality, great gas mileage (if you don't hot dog it, even if you do it will still do decent), Toyota reliability, and a 268hp 3.5l. They only come in automatic; I don't know if that's a problem for you. Probably have to spend more than 6, depending on mileage/year/condition.

But anyway, what is special about a 99 vs a 01?

I know 99's have an lsd.

i really like the BP18 engine, i know how to work on it and 99 was the only year with the updated body style that still retained the BP.

there are other things, like the LSD, that the 99 came with. the main reason is, i would turbo it in the future, and the engine choice is really important in that case.
