16.7 miles if I take the "shortcut" (all back roads which are rather fun to drive).
Have a K-Mart 8.8 miles and the nearest grocery store (not counting a small country market) is 9.5 miles.
Less than 2 miles. And all within that "block" is a Target, Lowes, Home Depot, and Food Lion and other small stores.
